This is World of Martial Arts Television Film of the Year.
The Accident Man is back and this time he must best the top assassins in the world, to protect the ungrateful son of a mafia boss, save the life of his only friend and rekindle his relationship with his maniacal father figure.
A perfect, rewarding visual feast of fist smashing, killer kicks, bantering mofos, layered with sharp comedy. Scott Adkins plays the eponymous hero Accident Man happy to arrange innocent accidents for unsuspecting marks for a fee. Superbly directed by dynamic duo George and Harry Kirby in their first feature, it is outstanding in any realm, and particularly action and comedy as their movie sets the bar high.
The script is magnificent, with pace, fresh action, cool characterisation and barbed banter from Stu Small and Scott Adkins. Whoever wrote these lines they are funny;
“You look like a melted Ben Affleck”
Scott is aided by an outstanding cast notably; Sarah Chang as Wong Siu-Ling who is paid by Scott to attack him as a means to decompress after each job of slaughtering yet another unsuspecting unfortunate;
George Fouracres is the pathetic gangster mum’s son in perfect tribute to Harry Enfield’s Stavros;
Perry Benson is outstanding as Scott’s unfazed ‘Accident Arranger in Chief’ and only friend.
Ray Stevenson brilliantly plays the let down manaical, shot gun toting father figure without spurting full Eastenders;
Outstanding fight scenes that feel fresh yet pay dividends in showcasing Scott’s high kicking and punching acrobatics and pay homage to Jackie Chan and classic kung fu cinema stunt fights. Salute to Scott and Tim Man, in fact the whole fight team.
It looks stunning, high end feature cinematography good, cool art direction, and sound track.
ACCIDENT MAN: HITMAN’S HOLIDAY is directed by George and Harry Kirby and also stars Ray Stevenson (“Thor”, “The Three Musketeers”) and Perry Benson (“This is England”).
